This is what my charging area looks like the night before a shoot. Tomorrow i'm just helping out with a Wedding, so I gotta get my charge on. In these images you'll see my aftermarket 5D Mark II (or 7D) batteries, and my Eneloops. It's going to be a light day, so i'm just bringing one camera out 5D Mark II, 24-70mm F/2.8, 100mm Macro IS, 50mm F/1.4, two 580 EX II flashes, and Radio Popper PX's.

Post authorHi Michael, thanks for visiting the blog. Yes we did use it off camera, but I needed someone to hold it for me. I try to travel light with minimal gear, but I'm thinking of bringing my lightstand adapters next time because I find it sooo useful.

Such a familiar site (although more tidy than when I do it). I have found your site really useful as a transition form photography to videography on the 5DII.
My Zoom H4N is on it's way as are 2 of these lights. One question did you shoot of camera with it at all?
I am thinking Monopod to get an off centre lighting.
Lots of wedding photogs are using video lights now. Went on a David Beckstead course the other week and he said he almost exclusively uses a video light now.
Long response but really just wanted to say thanks for you work. I hope you start getting freebies soon.
